Bio: As a child, I always loved to draw. My first mural was a crayon creation on my grandparents' wall---not a good choice. After taking as many art classes in high school as I could, I attended the University of Illinois, Urbana, where I earned a BFA. I started my own business painting wall graphics, murals, custom wall finishes, furniture, portrait chairs and benches and "Petraits". About 5 years ago I began doing contemporary canvas paintings in acrylic. I perfected a method for coating my paintings with resin to intensify the colors and give the pieces a glassy slick surface. Eventually, I added mixed media to my somewhat "other-worldly" pieces. My paintings have won numerous awards and hang in homes and places of business all over the country.

Influences: I am enamored with the endless possibilities of contemporary painting--no rules, no boundaries, endless choices of materials, color combinations, compositions, subject matter, experimentation--pushing out beyond the limits.

Education: BFA from University of Illinois, Classes at the Art Institute of Chicago
