In my piece I have explored the topics of technology, green materials, man’s desire to be close to nature in the urban landscape, and different experiences of God: the manifest and literal versus the intangible and internal.

The Story:
Walking through the streets of Chicago’s urban landscape, I noticed the connections between tiny patches of life forcing their way through cracks versus the pristinely manicured curbside gardens. I saw my tattered emotions from a lost brother reflected in the windows of skyscrapers and realized the loneliness of an individual in a sea of strangers. My art is an echo of a scream, a scream which, when heard again, has been shaped by its reflection off the buildings. It returns drenched with the beauty of architecture and saturated with the cries of our collective social condition. These echoes are beautiful in that they illuminate our own faults, but they are also ugly for demanding that we face them. Through strict rules of graphic design and the freedom of sculpture, I interpret these reflections into art that is boundless in its use of media. I express my ideas on hyper-digital platforms and documentary photography entwined with environmentally friendly castings, magazine covers, and temporary string installations.
